2026 Incidents

At 21:43 on Wednesday the 23rd the Belleville Fire Department was dispatched to 152 Brighton Ave, multiple callers reporting a structure fire. Automatic aid was started shortly after the dispatch. At 21:45 Battalion 1 arrived reporting a 2 story wood frame with fire on the first division and confirming the assignment. Shortly after Battalion 1 reported a the first division fully involved and out the windows. At 21:47 Truck 1 arrived on scene and was directed to stretch a line. At 21:51 Essex County Fire Mutual Aid requested a Newark Signal 9 for house coverage, Newark Engine 13, Engine 27, Ladder 6 and Battalion 2 was the assignment. Bell and Sirens was also requested to the scene. Crews were having difficulties with the hydrant but shortly after were able to obtain a water supply. The fire was marked under control at 22:11 and crews would work extensively to continue to open everything up. Mutual aid was released at 22:55.
